2010 Lawyers & Friends Reception
Thanks to our sponsors and everyone who joined us for the 2010 ELM Lawyers & Friends Reception! Held on December 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Langham Hotel, this year was a fun event filled with good food, drink, networking, and an inspiring talk by guest speaker Dennis Duffy, Vice President of Cape Wind Associates. As Mr. Duffy explained, the Cape Wind project will construct 130 wind turbines off the Massachusetts coast in Nantucket Sound, and will generate up to 468 megawatts of electricity. This project is in the final stages of permitting, with construction anticipated to be completed by 2013.

Earth Night and Earth Fair 2010
The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) hosted its 14th annual Earth Night on Saturday, April 10 at the Back Bay Events Center. More than 400 people attended Boston’s landmark environmental gala that supports ELM and its efforts to protect the air, water and land of Massachusetts for the health of its citizens. This event draws environmental activists, civic, corporate and political leaders.
