Earth Night 2013: Another Great Evening for the Environment!
ELM hosted its annual Earth Night on Saturday, May 4th at the Back Bay Events Center in Boston. A long-standing tradition, Earth Night is the one night of the year when ELM's friends and supporters from the civic, corporate, and nonprofit worlds can get together for a fun evening of music and mingling.
This year, we were joined by Mass. Exec. Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rick Sullivan and Mass. Fish & Game Commissioner Mary Griffin, as well as State Senators Will Brownsberger and Karen Spilka. Also joining us were US Congressman Ed Markey's wife, Dr. Susan Blumenthal, and his brother, Boston Attorney John Markey.
Guests won an extensive variety of silent auction items, including autographed sports paraphernalia and exotic trips. We all also enjoyed a great musical performance by Chuck McDermott and Bill Barton.ELM is very grateful to all our sponsors who make Earth Night possible and to all the individuals who joined us for such a successful evening!
