Take Action to Protect our Natural Resources and Quality of Life
The Environmental League of Massachusetts has played an important role influencing public policy on Beacon Hill since 1898, but we cannot do it alone. We are most effective when we partner with others – our sister environmental organizations and members of the public. The more people who contact a legislator or the Governor or the head of an environmental agency about an issue, the more seriously those officials will take our position. For example, many legislators tell us that a handful of phone calls on an issue is remarkable, and ten calls is considered a tidal wave. The point is, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
When there are important issues that require action – phone calls, letters, attending a hearing, etc., ELM will post relevant information on this page. We also usually get the word out via e-mail, so please sign up for our e-mail bulletins if you have not already. Thank you for helping us protect the Massachusetts environment.
