- Pittsfield State Forest – “You can enjoy the DCR’s Pittsfield State Forest’s almost 40 miles of trails no matter what your pleasure. There is also a Healthy Heart Trail and a one half-mile long, paved, accessible Tranquility Trail you want a slower pace.” – Sheila C.
- Savoy Mountain State Forest – “Savoy Mountain is a great place to unwind and ‘get away from it all’. If you like seeing the Milky Way and all the stars that are washed out by light pollution back home this is the place!” – Carl S.
