Alicia Barton

Alicia Barton is President and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), a public benefit corporation that advances innovative energy solutions to improve New York State’s economy and environment. Ms. Barton joined NYSERDA in June of 2017 and she oversees all aspects of NYSERDA’s nation-leading clean energy and climate initiatives.

Ms. Barton has held numerous public and private sector leadership roles advancing clean energy projects and companies with leading organizations such as the global law firm Foley Hoag, LLP, SunEdison and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC). Ms. Barton currently serves on boards of several organizations, including the Alliance to Save Energy, NY CREATES, Greentown Labs, the Environmental League of Massachusetts, Efficiency Forward, and the Advisory Board for the New England Women in Energy and Environment (NEWIEE). An Ohio native, Ms. Barton holds degrees from The Ohio State University and Boston College Law School and she resides in Ballston Spa, New York with her husband and toddler son.
