Vice President for Policy
Nancy is responsible for setting the strategic course for our policy engagement. She leads our policy team and oversees its work to develop and advance ELM’s priorities. She has primary responsibility for a number of key issues including reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, environmental justice, carbon pricing and smart growth. Prior to coming to ELM, Nancy worked for the Massachusetts Bays Program. Before graduate school, Nancy lived and worked in Washington, D.C. as a development professional for Common Cause, the International Human Rights Law Group (now Global Rights), and the Center for Marine Conservation (now Ocean Conservancy). Nancy has a Masters in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a B.A. from George Washington University in French Language and Literature. Nancy is a long-time Somerville resident and sits on the Board of the Boston Area Gleaners.
