Green Budget Coalition Statement on the Final FY24 Budget

“The Green Budget Coalition commends the Legislature on voting to approve a final FY24 budget that invests over $540 million to meet our pressing environmental challenges,” said David Melly, Legislative Director for the Environmental League of Massachusetts. “Responding to climate impacts, protecting our vulnerable natural resources, and decarbonizing our economy requires historic investment in energy, environmental, and conservation programs, and this budget takes significant and necessary steps towards reversing decades of underinvestment and investing in a net-zero future.”
