Earth Night 2025 was a major success!
On May 1, we were honored to host our 2025 Earth Night celebration, gathering almost 600 guests at Fenway Park to celebrate our Commonwealth Environmental Leadership Awardees.
Congratulations to our awardees:
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, climatetech pioneer Dr. Yet-Ming Chiang, and MIT President Dr. Sally Kornbluth. These incredible leaders are making Massachusetts the hub of climate innovation and an example for the rest of our nation and world.

Getting to Net Zero
The Next Generation Roadmap Act requires MA to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030. In January 2023, Climate Chief Hoffer published her recommendations on how we can get there.
To make sure we are on track, we are monitoring deadlines included in both the Next Generation Roadmap Act and the Climate Chief’s Report to determine if we are meeting them or lagging behind.

Massachusetts passes sweeping climate legislation!
On November 20, 2024, Governor Maura Healey signed two major pieces of climate legislation into law.
We are proud of our work to help craft these and build support among government officials, corporate leaders, and advocates.
