ELM’s 2023 Corporate Council Policy Briefing

Join your ELM Corporate Council colleagues for our annual Energy & Environmental Policy Briefing to learn the business case for advocacy on timely issues in 2023. This will be our first in-person policy briefing in three years, hosted at MIT Sloan with a virtual option.

New leadership on Beacon Hill and a the start of a new legislative session present us with the opportunity to accelerate the pace of progress and create a vibrant clean energy future. The ELM Policy Team will brief the Corporate Council on the key issues our state’s leaders will consider this year. Then, we will provide an overview of the policy process and timeline. There will be opportunities for discussion and Q&A on each issue.

State-level topics covered will be: Catalyzing the Clean Energy TransitionPromoting Clean Transportation; and Greening our Buildings. We will provide a thorough understanding of our work on these issues through a lens of health, environmental justice, and innovative financing. Our team will also provide details on how funding from the federal Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will impact our ability to decarbonize the MA economy.

This briefing will lay a foundation for business leaders to engage alongside ELM in high-level discussions with decision-makers throughout the year.

Our team designed this to be educational for a cross-section of corporate leaders, including senior leadership, sustainability, government affairs, public relations, and finance staff. We encourage you to invite your colleagues to join and learn!
